UTC Power traces its genesis to 1958, when the Advanced Power Systems Group at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft began to explore new power generation concepts, including hydrogen fuel cell technology. Since then, our fuel cells have provided electric power and drinking water for astronauts on every manned space flight since the Apollo program, including the Space Shuttle missions.
Today, UTC Power fuel cells can be found here on Earth, providing clean, efficient and reliable power to transit buses in the United States and buildings around the world.
