UTC Power names Vice President, On-site Power Solutions

SOUTH WINDSOR, Conn., June 6, 2007 – UTC Power, a United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX) company, today announced that Ken Fox has been named to the newly established position of Vice President, On-site Power Solutions, effective immediately. 

Fox will report to UTC Power President Jan van Dokkum and oversee UTC Power’s expanding portfolio of environmentally advanced on-site power generation products, which includes commercial building solutions as well as 24/7 renewable power generation systems. 

“The establishment of this position and the appointment of Ken Fox are a response to the growing marketplace interest in and application of our product and service offerings,” van Dokkum said. 

Most recently, Fox was President, Controls, Sales & Service, at sister UTC company Carrier’s North America Building Sales & Service organization. His responsibilities included direct equipment sales, national accounts, Carrier Electronics and Automated Logic and Carrier Service. Under his leadership, the organization focused on quality, cost and delivery and built a solid foundation for profitable growth. 

Fox joined UTC’s Strategic Planning organization in 1990 and transferred to Carrier the following year. During his tenure at Carrier, Fox also held positions including Vice President, Global Commercial Systems; Vice President and General Manager, Carrier Electronics; and President, North America Commercial. 

He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Northeastern University and an MBA degree from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
