| PureComfort® System — Applications |
Creating value for a wide range of applications - Hotels
- Data Centers
- Schools
- Hospitals
- Supermarkets
- Office Buildings
These flexible solutions are easily integrable into your application. Thermal outputs can be used in a variety of ways - from space conditioning to industrial processes. A few examples are discussed below.
Building power and comfort
PureComfort® power solutions are typically employed for space heating and cooling in conjunction with conventional systems. They can be integrated into existing central chilled/heated water systems, or with the appropriate plumbing, can be used where roof-top type DX systems are typically employed. Regardless of your particular situation, UTC Power will work with you to ensure that your PureComfort® power solution is optimally integrated into your facility.
Supermarket power, comfort and refrigeration
PureComfort® power solutions can also enhance the performance of a facility's refrigeration system. The chilled water output can sub-cool the refrigerant as it leaves the condenser and thereby reduces the required compressor power load. Additionally, any remaining PureComfort® solution chilling capacity can be used to space condition the remainder of the store. Lastly, the exhaust energy leaving the chiller can regenerate the desiccant systems in many supermarkets. In these applications PureComfort® power solution fuel utilization can be well above 90%. | To benefit from energy cost savings while contributing to a cleaner environment, The Ritz-Carlton, San Francisco installed a PureComfort® Combined Cooling, Heating and Power (CCHP) solution to provide a portion of their cooling and electricity. | | To minimize their environmental impact, Wal-Mart a PureComfort® 360M solution to provide air conditioning, heating and floor heating, electricity and back-up power for the refrigeration system in their Aurora, Colorado, experimental store. | | The A&P Fresh Market in Mount Kisco, New York employs a PureComfort® 240M solution to provide on-site power for their electrical needs, sub-cooling for their refrigeration system and desiccant regeneration. | |
