Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center received their second PureCell Model 400 in Hartford, CT on Friday, January 27th, 2012. The fuel cell system will provide clean, reliable on-site power at its Mount Sinai Rehabilitation Hospital campus, serving nearly half of its electrical needs and harnessing its thermal energy to serve the hospital’s heating loads. Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center has been a pioneer in the successful incorporation of fuel cells.

Source: New Haven Independent A PureCell® Model 400 was dropped into place at City Hall in New Haven, CT this past Sunday. The fuel cell had been lowered onto Millennium Plaza behind City Hall and is expected to be fully connected within the next couple of days. Although just blocks away there are two other private fuel cell operational facilities, 360 State Street and Roberto Clemente Leadership Academy, this is the city government proper’s first use of fuel cell technology.
