1st Fuel Cell Arrives At City Hall

A PureCell® Model 400 was dropped into place at City Hall in New Haven, CT this past Sunday. The fuel cell had been lowered onto Millennium Plaza behind City Hall and is expected to be fully connected within the next couple of days. Although just blocks away there are two other private fuel cell operational facilities, 360 State Street and Roberto Clemente Leadership Academy, this is the city government proper’s first use of fuel cell technology. According to Giovanni Zinn of the city’s Office of Sustainability, the PureCell® Model 400 can help the city save up to $1 million in energy costs over the next ten years.
